Join our Forever Victory Lap movement
In addition to living a vibrant life filled with outdoor adventures, Catherine also led a life of giving to others. Whether it was in the jobs that she chose or the organizations that she joined, Catherine was always working hard to give back to those less fortunate. We want to continue in her honor and help support some of the organizations that meant most to her.
To honor Catherine we have established #forevervictorylap as a non-profit 501 ( c)3 foundation to raise money for organizations about which she cared. We are starting with the Teton Valley Ranch Camp (TVRC). Catherine made life-long relationships during her time at TVRC, and it was the main reason why she made Jackson Hole, WY her home. We hope to expand our fundraising efforts to other organizations in the Jackson Hole community that help children explore and have meaningful life experiences. As we grow, we will expand the #forevervictorylap movement beyond this local community and assist other like-minded organizations.
How to Live Like Nix
Trying to live an inspired life seems like a daunting task, but if Catherine did nothing else, she showed us how it “easily” it can be done. We’re sure there will be sweat and sacrifice along the way, but we promise the end reward will be worth it.
#1 Set a goal
Whether it’s something you love to do or wish you loved doing, create a goal for which to strive. (Hint, there is nothing wrong with setting a reachable goal, don’t choose something that will be easy to give up)
#2 Share your goal
You’ve heard this one before. It’s always best to share your goal so that you are kept honest and held accountable. The bonus is that when you share your goal with others you are creating a support group. Just wait for all the good wishes to come your way!
#3 Make a donation
If you’re not quite ready to create a victory lap of your own, perhaps you will join our efforts to help others take a victory lap. Consider making a donation to Forever Victory Lap.
#4 Inspire others
One of the characteristics we loved most about Catherine was her ability to light a fire under those around her. Catherine knew that believing in others helped them to believe in themselves. She cajoled, pushed, persuaded and encouraged others to strive to do more. You can Live Like Nix and spread the word of our #forevervictorylap movement.
